New albums up the wazoo!

Aside from the Grails album Burning Off Impurities that I’ve already written about this past week, I just got two other albums that I’ve been dying to hear, even though I hadn’t heard about either of them until just before they got released, last week and today respectively.

The first is OM’s Pilgrimage, 32 minutes of bowel-movement-inducing bass grooves built on a firm foundation of stoner rock and melodic Buddhist chant. The second is Radiohead’s In Rainbows, which is creating a ton of buzz due to its “pick-your-own-price” download distribution. I aim to write about these in the very near future. I’ve listened to both a few times each, but I’d like to absorb them on better speakers in order to fully appreciate them.

It smells like dog crap at my desk because the boss’s dog actually took a dump here the other day. Kind of nauseating.
