& yet & yet.

Every so often I become obsessed with a particular song and feel compelled to listen to it over and over until I get absolutely sick of it. This time, the song of choice is Do Make Say Think’s “Fredericia.” It has this great atmospheric sound that starts out peaceful and every-so-slightly jazzy and just builds until a crash of heavy bass and distortion. It’s so post-rock cliché, but so lovely.

I’m going north this weekend, taking a day off from work. I could really, really use a vacation, even if it’s just a couple days. More on that later this week, as plans solidify.

As an aside, does the sidebar on the left look pink to you? Joan says it does. It’s actually not at all pink, but grey and white. Funny how the eye does things like that. Time to look for a new color scheme for that part of the theme.
