fun with flickr.
I’ve been wrestling with the whole flickr thing tonight in an attempt to upload photos from my recent trip to Lake George. I already have a webshots account, but I signed up for flickr because a.) I like the interface better, b.) it can be fed to this blog via API (to be figured out tomorrow), c.) it has slightly better security (no photo downloading unless you’re my flickr friend!), and d.) let’s face it, flickr has won the online photo community wars. So I’ve already uploaded my set of photos and added an application to my facebook profile that shows my photostream as well as updates people when I post new photosets. It’s probably the only really useful Facebook application I’ve seen, but that’s another topic completely. Still, I guess I do like my graffiti wall.Incidentally, our trip ruled. I’m too tired to write in depth about it; maybe tomorrow. Check out the photos here. You can also bookmark my flickr page here. If you have an account and actually use it, my username is helicon two — give me a shout. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have found a way to add a photostream to the front page of this site. Sleepytime now,
-D
